This drum has two playable faces, one is 1/4″ oak and one is 1/8″ birch.  The thin birch head gives this drum excellent bass-end resonance, although it is obviously more delicate than a drum with 1/4″ faces.  #36, 39, and 40 have similar construction.  This drum also has the “slap corner” that everyone goes crazy for.  Finished with clear shellac and striped with a dyed shellac, this drum is 22.5″ tall by 12.5″ by 12″.
